How We Work to Sell Our Listings

We are often asked questions about who does what here at Turner Real Estate Group. We will admit we run our business in a non-traditional way compared to most realtors. Our sellers have it down, but other agents in the community seem to question how it all works. Here’s some more information on the roles our team members play, who to contact for what, and how we insure the real estate transaction always runs smoothly.

Wayne Turner is the Broker/Owner, and has been in the real estate business for over 15 years. He is always working on growing the company, and researching inventive ways to gain new opportunities to sell homes. After Wayne lists a home and the listing paperwork has been completed, he hands the file to Leigh Ann Gutierrez, the Listings Manager.

Leigh Ann will then handle the listing until an offer is presented. She will put the listing into the MLS, as well as our many social media portals that syndicate to thousands of websites. She will call for feedback from every showing, and ensure all questions agents and buyers may have about our listings are answered. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and is very thorough in managing and marketing our listings. After all questions have been answered and an offer is ready to be presented, Leigh Ann will instruct the agent to email the offer to Wayne.

Wayne will then work the listing and negotiate the offer until point of contract. Once a contract is in place, Wayne then hands the file to Meghan Smith, the Closing Processor.

Meghan works all listings from contract to act of sale. She has had her license for over 6 years, and works more than 100 files a year for Turner Real Estate Group. She will do everything she can to insure the closing process runs smoothly for both agent and buyer. Wayne and Meghan communicate daily to insure all files are going as planned.

Also, many agents who write on our short sales seem to be unfamiliar with the process and have many questions. Not to worry… Meghan will guide every step of the way. She is very familiar with short sales, as we list and sell more short sales than anyone else in St. Tammany Parish.

Finally, after the closing process is complete, Wayne will be present and support the seller during the act of sale. At this point, the property has sold successfully - all thanks to our group effort!

Turner Real Estate Group has an organized system that has worked very well for us throughout the years. Our staff members are beyond qualified for their job positions, and are happy to help in any way. We find that working as a team allows the transaction to run much more smoothly, with great attention paid to every detail.
