Several members of our local real estate group visited one of the senior care centers in Livermore to share the Christmas spirit. Quail Gardens is a residential care facility for the elderly.
This beautiful home, built in 1927 was bedecked and bejewel with Christmas lights and decorations. The residents were assembled in the large living room, awaiting our arrival. One of our members, a gifted guitarist, started strumming as we followed procession-like down the hall before taking our place in front of the group.
It was wonderful to see their smiling faces as we sang familiar 
songs. Many of them joined in, including one woman who had just celebrated her 100th birthday the day before. The staff and residents were very appreciative, but our little band of six carolers left with smiles on our faces as we exited the cozy environment. Our hearts were warmed to share this holiday tradition with some very wonderful women.
