Orange County Home Sales and Prices Are Down

The Orange County home sales and prices are down which showes the weekness in the market. Prices dropped in November, spurring more buyers into action in the Orange County market. We are all seeing a counter to the usual trend sales are increasing in November and December.

The increase is not seen by the reporting agencies that look at the statistics showing the sales that are closed. We are seeing many more sales that have opened escrow. This could be a very good sign that the market may see a move to the positive.

I think that the home prices being down will cause the market to come back. Homes will be and are more affordable.

Let's hope that Mark is rght. And if Orange County leads the rest of the nation then that would be a welcome trend. On the other hand, we have seen the trend reverses itself. This is quite an unusual market that we are in.
