The Little Ice Rink Opens

 

Mayor Gilmore , Christopher Selwald cutting blue ribbon. Little Ice Rink in Alameda,The Little Ice Rink opened on Friday, December 16 and it was a lot of fun.  The Mayor cut the ribbon.  An Olympic skater Michael Chack was there to inaugurate the rink and Santa arrived on his skates much to the delight of the little ones.

 

The Little Ice Rink was joined by its partner the Little House Cafe to serve hot chocolate and other beverages and delicious crepes.

The Little Ice Rink will be open 7 days a week, including Holidays from 3 to 10pm.  During the weekends the Little Ice Rink will be open form Noon to 10pm.  The Rink is located at the corner of Lincoln and Park Street, 1600 Park Street.  Children skate for $10 including rental skates, Adults skate for $15 including rental skates.

I hope they make this a yearly event. Drove by last night on our way to see the Guide Dogs (puppies) for the Blind go to Christmas Tree Lane for their first night time outing . I love living in Alameda!
