The New York Botanical Gardens presents its 20th Annual Holiday Train Show now thru January 9 2012. Guests are treated to super model trains and NEw York City landmark replicas made of plant parts uch as nuts, bark, and leaves.
The Holiday Train Show takes place at the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Model trains travel over bridges and past replicas of New York City landmarks. Show favorites include the original Yankee Stadium, Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn Bridge.
In addition to the Train Show, children can explore the spices that make up a classic gingerbread recipe, decorate gingersnaps and step inside a ginger bread house. Other presentations include a Holiday Film Festival, The Little Engine That Could Puppet Show and the All Aboard with Thomas and Friends at the Holiday Train Show.
Come and stroll the extraordinary grounds, decorate and eat gingerbread snaps, break for lunch and hot chocolate, and get last minute holiday shopping done.
