A day at HQ, and I almost fried my noodle!

So here I am in Arizona blogging like a madman having multiple successes with my Blogging, Blarming, and overall Google Dominance, when i decide hmmmm - maybe I had better see for myself what this stange virus called Activerain is for myself. So one plane, car and hotel booked I show up on Activerain's doorstep like cousin Eddie from the Griswald's.

So after fighting for a parking spot in the trendy "loft" district, that Amazon has bought up for its continued global expansion. I arrive at the mecca for blogging.
Front Door ActiveRain
Once you get past the cool glass open plan office in this urban feel complex, you realize that the synergy of the staff is amazing, phones are ringing, questions are being answered, accounts being opened.

It is a very cool vibe man! But the best of it all was that everyone made eye contact with me, people walked up and introduced themselves and everyone was super happy ...
AR Staff
...I immediately suspected their was magic coolaide - but I didn't find any - It's just the staff at AR. or maybe the coffee?
So after meeting all the departments and having a real cup of joe Seattle style with Nikesh.
Coffee called a pour through
I got to speak for an hour with Bob Stewart who is a self proclaimed "not an SEO expert"
Bob was kind enough to review my blogs and make some suggestions.  The main take away from Bob was that if I continue to implement what he prescibes I will continue to gain traction in my efforts as I have seen all year long.  It was great to chat and validate that I was teaching my agent partners the correct practices and techniques for gaining market dominace, especially with my technique: Blarming (search AR).
For those of you who haven't attended one of Bob's classes you reallly should check them out here http://www.activerainuniversity.com/video select the SEO video first would be my suggestion!
It was also clearly evident that this stuff works but only if you are consistent and structured about doing your blogging - Bob told me the biggest mistake agents make is not utilizing their blogs with current and past clients to keep them engaged - note to self show my agent partners how to do this again in my CE classes!

Then it was off to meet Kerrie,
kellie the bomb
(I left my heart in Seattle - inside head voice) who went and reviewed my profile, made a few suggestions, we tweaked those, added my creature icons to my signature and bob's your uncle my profile was pretty well optimized, ready for my classes for agents to mirror their's to. Mark's profile:
With Kerrie I reviewed the 3 main reasons an agent should use AR:
  1. Reaching consumers on a hyper local level
  2. Education for and from your peers
  3. As a hub for all your social media efforts
Then once Kerrie had finished with me (sigh), Kate came in who heads up the sales force. Oh and might I add a very cool accent wonder if it's real - ask her?!
Kate is in the bottom right
Kate is also responsible for all the new super cool stuff coming in for its members, because its parent, Market Leader have developed some amazing market changing tech!
Did you know about Local Partners Program for Realtor®s and Loan officers?
If not, you should call and ask for Kate ~ because in the new year they will be launching a exclusive city specific SEO program that will get you found first and foremost and new buyers and sellers will see you positioned as the local area expert - yeh yeh yeh! I hear you say ... but noodle on this - with all the reports and tech that Market Leader will give the buyers who sign up you don't think with all that power behind them, they won't be able to ensure that buyers and sellers will find you and contact you.  Having been told and seen what's coming this will rival anything you have ever seen - They should know... they just spent 10 million buying realestate.com!
Activerain and world domination one agent at a time
The second roll out to your exclusive city placement - buyers will find all the homes they are looking for, and every home will have your info on it from your own landing page. Every time they type in your city, you will come up, with reports, homes for sale, idx feeds and drip campaigns to convert those leads for you. Did I say WOW! Its like your own private city landing page only for you!
So ssssh don't tell everyone but call 1-888-643-3837 and ask for more info - this thing will be bigger than Zillow and Trulia, and imagine where your career would be today if you were in on the ground with those guys?
To recap, if you are reading this and want to be relevant today, tomorrrow and into the future upgrade your account to a Rainmaker, immerse yourself into the training, get signed up for all the new goodies coming down the pipe and get committed for the next 12 months to do this.
This has been a 12 month journey for me, to the day I write this blog.  I am here to tell you that I have had in excess of $60,000 in commissions (as a loan originator) from this platform, and have as much in future busienss with clients in the military in Afghanistan to investors from Quebec, everything I now do has no shelf life, and because of Activerain I can now be found on the front page of Google SEE IT with my namesake competition spending thousands of dollars a month to stay in front and me I spend a whopping $59 a month!

So please come join me on this journey and see where it takes us into 2012 - I know for me it can only be upwards - and for you neighsayers out there, I ask you this "got anything better to be doing?"

This is very cool!  I didn't know what the blogging mecca looked like, and I like the insider scoop!  Plus I'm super-jealous that you got to meet Bob and Kerrie and the gang.

Ah I love Seattle, It was always my goal to live in Seattle when I graduated from college, but instead I fell in love and never made it to Seattle to live... bummer.  Sounds like you had a fun time.

Wow! You can actually do this? Visit headquarters and have your posts and profile reviewed the the AR gods??? I want this for Christmas! Oops, too late for this year - maybe for my birthday, since it comes sooner!

Seriously, you really have had quite a year if you already have 500,000+ points and the Ambassador designation. Impressed and awed!

Thanks so much for sharing this (pics were great, too!). All the best in 2012!

Hi, Mark:  I did a bit of investigatin', and heading out that way would be a bit of a hike- might have to fly that one!

http://g.co/maps/eq9pv

I hear Nebraska and Missouri are a tad cold this time of year, too- it'd be a rough drive though there in the shorts and T-shirt I've got on for today's 80-degree day ahead!

Merry Christmas to you and yours...
