Autumn Colors in Colonial Williamsburg 12/20/11

Colonial Williamsburg is a delightful travel destination at any time of the year.  The holiday period is a very special time because all of he holiday decorations are on display.  We were also happy to see blooming flowers over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Another benefit of the mild weather in the area.

Please share photographs from your favorite places in the comments for this post.  Be sure to have your camera in hand to capture those special moments.  You never know when you may find a beautiful flower waiting for your photograph.

Best wishes to you and your family for a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Roy,  Your photos are stunning.  Thanks for sharing them.  It is a cold day in the Wyoming mountains where I am working on my mom's house and your colorful flowers seemed to warm everything up.  Have a wonderful week.

Roy, you are moving to the Winter flowers and I love that. I should plant some Winter flowers but I can't promise. Still hoping to make it to Turtle Bay during the Holidays for some photography. Love your flowers!

Roy, I just saw the weather map for your area on the evening news - looks like you may get a white Christmas - or at least a wet one.  Thank you for ALWAYS brightening my days with your beautiful photos.  You always make me smile.  THANK YOU.

Hi Roy - Your photos are great!  Pansies have always been a favorite as they last through a bit of the frost.

May the cold winds of winter pass quickly and the warm breezes of spring bring many flowers for you and Delores to photograph and share with us. Enjoy your day!
