I Feel Like Santa Claus This Year. It was a lot of fun picking out toys and clothes for children in foster care during the holiday season. This morning I dropped off my donations to help Delta, County Colorado children in the foster care system.

Delta's Garden Center SignThere are over 126 children that need donations. I "adopted" one child and my company "adopted" two and I did the shopping. I took my teenager with me and she really got into it. We had fun finding the really cute hat and mitten set for a 3 year old girl, and the stuffed kittens we found should be a great hit. We also found some cute pajamas and some other little toys. My daughter was remembering what she found so much fun when she was in grade school. I just wish I could have done more.

If you are interested in helping out, there are still kids that need to be "adopted". The staff at The Garden Center will help you out and it only takes a minute to get signed up. The deadline to get signed up and do the shopping is December 20th. Here's a link to The Garden Center's webpage. It has their hours and contact information.  http://www.deltagardencenter.com/

Please remember those in need this holiday season.

my mom's Sunday School class adopts a family each year.  I always find out the kids sizes and add something to it since I'm not in a an adult class because I teach children.

Hi, Dan...I did the same thing this year. It's a lot of fun, and makes me feel good.

Hi, Tammy...good for you. Doesn't it make you feel good when you can help out?

Thanks, Ron, for the reblog. I really appreciate it.

Hi, Sheila...This blog was from last year. We did it again this year, too. Both my daughter and I had fun picking out the presents.

Hi, Don...I love helping out my community whenever I can. This blog was from last year, but we did it again this year, too.
