Have you ever told a client to get some “getter”?
What a great word to start the day. If you have lived around a farm or had dealing with one you might know this word years ago no make that decades ago I lived on one. I’ve heard it called many things but not this one. So I guess now would be a good time to tell you the meaning of (get’er) poisoned bait for farm pests. Hum I wonder if that would also be true for the human kind? ;) Enjoy your day.. ;)
Well it dates me but I worked on my grandfather's ranch/farm as a teenager. I remember this as well.

Getter.....hmmmm...come 'n getter....didn't know that meant ....getter till it's....welll....gone.

Sounds like a slang word to me. But still, a good one! Slang words happen for reasons, and often are clearer than the "real" word!
