Where to find answers to Princeton NJ real estate questions?

Home buyers and sellers in Princeton, Montgomery, West Windsor, Hopewell, Lawrenceville New Jersey and elsewhere in the country can now get the real answers and story on what’s going on in the real estate market and in their community. They can find these answers in the blogs.

How is the information in a blog different from what gets delivered by the news media or by the various web-sites dedicated to real estate?

One way to think of the blogs is as a way to get into the head of those who write them and see what they see

Did you notice that many web sites look very similar and  not just in the looks, but also in content? It is not the case with blogs.

Each blog is different, because each writer is different. The stories I tell in my blog are based on what I do and see every day. You   Blog Conversation can’t find them on any web site in the world, including my own.  These stories are based on my daily experiences and lessons learned in the "real" real estate. You can only find them on my blog.

How does it help you, the consumer? It gives you the real scoop, without the sales hype. You get to see it all - the bad and the good, just as I see it.

Let me give you an example. I was buying a new camera. I researched the camera I wanted, and bought it from the store that looked very credible on their web site. I called the store, verified they were real, and did other due diligence, or so I thought. I ordered the camera. Then I realized I did not do something else. I did not check out the blogs. I found a blog talking about the company I bought the camera from.  What they described, was pretty bad. I did more checking, and realized I should cancel my order. The information in the blog helped me avoid a potentially costly mistake. Why?
Because the blog authors were passionate and knowledgeable about cameras, and they wanted consumers to know what they know.

There is much more at stake when buying, selling or just owning real estate. Getting in the head of those who are passionate about it, who live it every day, who take their personal time to educate and inform the consumer, could give you the information not available anywhere else.

If you are thinking of selling your home anywhere in the Princeton and surrounding towns, there is a ton of advice and information you can get on my blog. No, not the canned tips dispensed through the agents’ web sites, but the real knowledge gained on “the battlefield”.

If you are a buyer, you can search for homes in many places. If you want advice and the view from the insight out, go to the blogs.

You will get to know me if you read my blog. You will determine if you want to trust my advice and if I am someone you would be comfortable entrusting your very significant asset – your home. You can’t gain this understanding from any web site, mine included.

There are very few agents – only 4%, who have blogs. It’s incredibly time consuming and is done in our “ free” time. So, why do we do it?

My answer to why I write my blog can be summed up like this:

  • because I want to make it easier for people to buy or sell their homes,
  • because I am passionate about what I do,
  • because I want to transmit what I know,
  • because I love where I live and want others to know about it,
  • because I want to clarify the perceptions and misconceptions about real estate,
  • because I want others to see the real estate reality, and
  • because I want to develop relationships with those who find it valuable.

The reasons I write the blog correspond exactly to the topics I write about: how to make the selling and buying process less stressful, what to do and not to do when before, during and after the sale, the market conditions and what it means to us, things that are happening in theBlog Conversation community and how they affect us, information for people relocating to the Princeton area and a lot more.

You may wonder, if so much effort is going into writing a blog, isn’t there a sales motive? Of course, I want to sell houses, I am good at it and that’s what I do for living. With my blog, I want to do more: educate and develop a relationship with my readers.  You will know it when you read it.

Well done Faina. You summed up perfectly the advantage of having a blog and the benefit to the consumer for reading our blogs. I get a ton of business form my blogs and they are the best customers I have. They know what I'm going to say, what I do, who I am and how I work before I even get a chance to meet with them. It just doesn't get any better than that.

People want to know we are just like them, writing a blog, let's them see us, even all the silly things. We're people that they want to trust and revealing ourselves in a blog is one way they can see the real us. Great post, Faina.

Bryant - as they say "you can't buy love", it's the same with the blog. You can't buy it and you can't fake it. "Getting a ton of customers" is hopefully in the future.

Missy - "the real us" is what consumers can get plus the "real" information about real estate.  Thanks so much for your all your support of my efforts here. Speaking of things personal, I got 3 call today form Biloxy.

Faina- My customers I get from my blog are the best customers ever! They already know me and I do not have to interview, they are very loyal to me! Great post about how consumers benefit from reading blogs! You go, girl, your posts keep on getting better! Katerina

Katerina - you are so right. There is vey little left to the imagination when customers read the blog. It communicates more to them, then any consumer would possibly learn from the web-sites or even in one-one relationship.

Thanks for the compliment, coming from you it means a lot.

Hi Faina,
Yes, yes!  You have put this very well and in a way that connects with the consumer. If we can get them to our blogs, when they are ready to buy; we will already have a connection and their trust.  I think this is the right direction.

Cynthia - now that the message is formulated, the key is to get it out for the consumers to find. It's a chicken and and egg kind of thing - we need to tell them about the blog, but first they have to find us telling them. It's all about spreading the message. Thanks for your comment.
