Motivational Monday: If you see someone in need, proceed!
My husband went to the store to shop for items so that I can bake cookies this weekend. Ahead of him in line was an elderly lady who looked like she could use some help.
She was in a wheelchair, told the cashier that she was a widow and brought in less than a $1,000 a month. She had milk, juice, bread, jam, eggs and butter, maybe $20 worth of food.
He paid for her groceries and through tears she told him how grateful she was for his kindness. My advice is simple: If you see someone in need, proceed! And pay it forward!
My favorite Mother Teresa quote comes to mind: "Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person. We can learn a much from her!
