Over 6,000 comments, and I'm still here playing in the Rain.

I joined Active Rain in August 2010. I did'nt know what to do or where to do it.

Clint McKie and Desert Sun Home Inspections

I started out with a few comments on posts I could understand. Probably leaving comments that did'nt make a lot of sense. Newbies are like that.

To date I have made 6,009 comments. Remember when I read your post I "read the post". I generally have a comment that is thought out and usually has a question attached in it somewhere.

I rarely post a comment that says "good post" and that's it. I try to leave a joke if possible. Some may think I have a "dry sense of humor". Others get a good laugh out of what I leave in my comments.

I try to get the blogger to get involved in their own blog. Get them thinking about my comment, instead of just leaving the "Thank you".

I try to visit as many posts that I can in a day, but there are times and sometimes weeks that I can't make it to everyones post.

Just because I didn't visit your post does'nt mean I am not interested in what you have posted about.

As with many "Bloggers"  I am a busy person. I have found that being a member of the Active Rain Community has brought me closer to many of the members that really care about the members of Active Rain.

Richard Yates who built me my own video for my widget. And helping me figure out how to add a photo to my posts. Thanks for all the help and for being there as a friend.

Then there is Lenn Harley, who took the time to explain how to "juice up my posts and my website". I talked to her for 45 minutes last night. I have a full page of advice I need to work on.

Neither one of these members needed to do this. But here in the Rain, It's all about friendships and helping one another.

Remember, if "I have subscribed I will stop by".

Thank you to all that have ever commented on any of my posts. Have a great and safe Holiday season, and an even better 2012 selling season.

It is honestly hard to keep up with everyone on Active Rain that I want to.  Also sometimes I comment not because I have much to say, but just to let them know I was there.

Merry Christmas.

Clint, being a newby to Active Rain, I too appreciate the hard work the folks have put into their blogs. I'm slowly improving my writing skills to compete with many of you. Thanks for sharing.

Winston... just about everyone here was very, very hesitant to write their first blog post.  Most of us found out that the best way to get "better" at it... was to just DO it... myself included.  So... go for it.

Hi Judi,

You should write a post about all the help. List each member with a back link to find out who they are. Even in the Rain, some members are not that well known by all.

Thanks for the comment.

Hey Al,

Thanks for all the support by all your comments. I try and visit often to your post. But with the way the Rain has been who knows if I can even get on the site.

Hello Ginny,

And it all got started with a single comment. Have a great Holiday season. All my best.

Hi Karl,

Sometimes I find it hard to get in and then out of the Rain.  Some find it very "addicting" I do.

Hello Kimo,

There is a wealth of knowlege here in the Rain. All you have to do is find it, then hold on for the ride.

Hi Marte,

There have been some posts about the comments received in other posts. I believe you need to read what's being posted. They might be talking about you or your kids. LOL

Hello Denise,

I like the shorter posts as well. I really don't have the time to read a book in the mornings.

Hello Mike and Kate,

I had to start with zero comments like you. But with a little subscribing, you could get there just like me and other members.

Hi Stephen,

I have been posting on several forums. But the membership was not as inviting as here in the Rain.

Thank you Karen.

As I had stated earlier. "Read the post". There are a lot of times a post can generate some thoughts for your own post in the future.

Hello Mr. Bob  Miller.

I am well diversified when it comes to posters and who I comment on. I like your post and will continue to comment. Thanks for your comments as well.

Hello Gene,

It's a good thing you stopped by. This what makes the Active Rain site so great. Now I know you were here. LOL

Hi John H.,

I don't know about posting every day. Wow, that's a lot of work for me. I don't have the time right now to post and comment everyday. But I do understand where you are coming from. Have a great day my friend.

Hello Winston, and welcome to the post.

All you have to do is just do it. A post needs not to be well written to be a good post. Here in the Rain, there are so many levels of expertise. You just need to start from day one, and go from there. No one will critisize your post. Best of luck here in the rain.

Hi Karen, well said.

Hello Marshall,

I tried that once myself. I am still trying to get there  (counting that high with my toes and fingers) lol

I'm just glad the Rain keeps track of this stuff.

Clint! I love what you have to say here. I also try to make the blogger smile at the very least. I hadn't thought about it like this tho. I continually learn from the blog posts of others. Now I have to figure out how to jazz things up more. I guess jazz fingers won't work... Boy, do I have a lot of work to do...

PS. I love that wreath too!

Hi Steve,

All you need to do is keep the subscribers you have. Comment when they post. Then see what they are wanting to say in the post and give it a twist if at all possible.

Some posts can't be changed due to the subject matter.

But most are from the heart. This is a good way to get to someones good side and get more comments as well.

But the comments must be sincere. And you need to back up what you say.

Have a great Merry Christmas. Thanks for the comment.

Best, Clint Mckie

Hey Clint.  Not sure how I missed this one, but that is an outstanding achievement.  Your comments are well thought out and sincere.  Also, it's amazing that you have over 70 comments on a non-featured post.  Way to go.

Hello Debbie,

Look at all the times we have visited...

I hope that through our comments we can better ourselves for a great 2012.

All it takes is one comment to change our lives for the better. That one call or one comment. It's all it takes.

Have a very Merry Christmas in New York.

Best, Clint McKie

Hi Tigard,

Yes I do. But with that said, you can accumulate a lot of comments by visiting every day and making a few comments each day.

Before you know it there are a lot of comments you have made.

Thank you for the comment and have a nice day.
