Las Vegas Air Show

This weekend, Nov 10-11 is the Las Vegas Air Show, Aviation Nation. It's held at Nellis Air Force Base each Veterans Day weekend and is free to the public. There is a $3 donation for adults and $1 for children under the age of 10, to ride the shuttle from the parking lots to the Air Force base.

There will be many air show demonstrations including the Thunderbirds . They are based out of Nellis and this is their annual end of the season homecoming. If you have never seen the Thunderbirds, it is an amazing show! If you have seen them, you can never see them too many times. The Wings of Blue will be doing parachute demonstrations. On Sunday, there will be a B-2 Bomber fly by. Click here to get the full schedule of events so you don't miss anything.

On the ground, there will be airplanes on display, some of which you can tour. There will be rare airplanes as well as a Las Vegas Metro helicopter and quite a few military aircraft.

So, gather up the kids, the sunscreen and sunglasses and head to Nellis Air Force Base for 2 days of breathtaking entertainment in the skies and on the ground.

Go Air Force! I lived in Vegas for about 3 months and was still in the Air Force so I got to go to Nellis to see the Thunderbirds daily. There awsome and loud! But amasingly talanted. I would recomend everyone go see them and especially take the children of you have any. When kids see the policeman or fireman at school, some of them want to be policeman or fireman. But when they see the thunderbirds...they all want to be pilots...especially the girls.

I wished I lived closer...I've never been to an air show but this should be pretty neat to see!

Chuck: You know firsthand how cool it is to see the Thunderbirds. You are lucky!

Ricardo: They do the show every year on Veterans Day weekend so maybe you can plan on driving to Vegas next year.

Roberta - I've been to a couple of air shows and I love them! The excitment is what really gets me...especially the sounds and hearing the ground shake. Next time I'm out in Vegas I'll have to check this out!
