Over the past year there has been a large boom in the social network world and with myself trying to stick with trends I decided to hope on the bandwagon. I have created a Twitter account and a Facebook Fanpage in order to potentially increase my clientel and gain business. I so far have seen immediate success from my Twitter account and could potentially see business opportunities in the near future. All that I simply did was made an account and selected to follow some individuals in the Real estate field. I shortly after noticed that I started to recieve followers on my account and I noticed that they were a lot of real estate professionals. Although they are not clients yet, I have put myself out there and now more poeple in the field know I am a professional as well. I hope that this proves successful and one day I will get a call from an agent saying that they follow my blog and that a client has interest in a house I solicited.

Aside from my Twitter account I started my Facebook fanpage. I started this page a while back and have not seen success from it because I have struggeled to bring traffic to the site. I started by openning a contest for the first hundred people to like my page, but I did not see results. Does anyone out there had any ideas for how to stem traffic to my Fanpage? Suggestions? Comments? Concerns?

I sent out an email to all my past clients as asked them to like my fan page and to put a comment about my service on my google places page.  In return I told them I would send them a $5 starbucks card - which I did as soon as I saw they completed the task.  You can send the starbucks card electronically by signing up on the Starbucks eGift Card site.

Hope that helps :)
