How much do we tell about our marketing strategies? To what lengths do we share? I want to know what other people are doing, but do I ask? Are you offended if someone else asks? Honestly, do you divulge ALL of your secrets?

This business is sometimes very cut throat.  I would love to say everyone I work with is 100% honest and has the utmost integrity, but there are those that really push the envelope.  So, how do you know who to share with? I love discussing ideas and truly want to help others grow as I grow, but I hear horror storys and have dealt with agents that are a little "shady", for lack of better words.

In such a team environment at my office, I enjoy sharing ideas, but find out later that I may have "asked too many questions".  If you are not a criminal, you don't think like a criminal, so why the hesitation, now, when someone asks "how did you get this client"?

I can't imagine working in such an environment. We share everything at my office and take nothing from one another. In that way, we keep our energy positive and it benefits us all. People choose us because we do things differently. It feels good at my company.

Most of my business is referral, but now and again I run into someone at an open house or from a call on one of my listings. How do you get your clients Heather? It's safe to share here ;-)

Not only do we share at my office but the MEGA AGENTS, the Top Producers are members of our Agent Leadership Council, ACL, and teach us their methods so we all succeed.  Also the ALC has monthly meetings that every agent can attend and put in his/her own 2 Cents worth about how things work in our office.  Its a great situation and I recommend it for all offices.. TOGETHER WE ALL SUCCEED.  :)

I go to my office everyday and I will share the majority of my ideas.  The problem is still there for me - because I don't what to give you something if it doesn't work.  I'm not going to give you my personal contacts to the bank I work - but I will try to help you get in with on.

I ask those who are not in my immediate area -- then they don't feel competitive and they will share.  some of the ideas may not work in my market, but many will work.  This is the best way to get open honest communication and tips.

There is plenty of business for everybody to go around.  I rarely worry about how anybody else is getting their clients but work to keep mine happy so they keep referring me.  You'll find more ideas than you can use here at ActiveRain.

WE get this on both sides.  I had people in my mortgage office that would stab you in the back for a lead.

that is why "it" is not here anymore

Our office is pretty open. We have agent masterminds sessions where the more successful agents share their ideas. Many of our agent teach classes. Since at Keller Williams if the office makes more money the profits go back to the agents. So why not help each other out. It's not cutthroat as other offices I know of.
