Ever wondered what some of the secret neighborhoods are in Sacramento? I'm about to tell you about a community that many have no idea about. It is located off of H Street ... here's a map to give you the exact pin point of where River Park is River Park Mapby Google Maps.

As you can see the American River is quite an asset to this community and is accessible by the residents of River Point.

When you drive into River Point it is easy to see why people like it here. The homes are all different, no tract homes here. Neighbors are out walking their dogs, having a glass of wine and chit chatting, exercising, playing tennis, and even racking those gorgeous leaves that are falling right now.

I parked my car and took a short walk to the ridge at River Park to take in the American River. That 's where I ran into about 5 men sitting in their portable chairs talking about a book they had read and relaxing after a hard days work. There was even a man fishing in the American River nearby. It's a peaceful area that offers much to its residents.

When I asked one of the neighbors why there aren't very many homes for sale in River Park, he said that most of the people never leave and children end up buying their parents home and raising their families right here. There are generations of families who love River Park.

Block parities and Mother group meetings are prevalent here in River Park. There is one way in and one way out so typically the only people driving in River Park are those that live there...except for me of course.

I want to thank everyone that I met at River Park (yes even the dogs)...you were all so helpful and friendly.

River Park even has it's own Little League Baseball field for the kids that live in River Park and of course a pool for those warm summer days. Take a peek at the video and see why everyone in River Park loves living here. River Park is one of the areas that I will be showing my Home Buyer, tomorrow.

Leigh, since there is only 1 house that has 4 bedrooms for sale that is the one I will be showing. That's one out of approximately 3500 homes in the subdivision.

Sandi, thank you. I had such a good time there and hated to leave. Today, it will be the first neighborhood that I will be showing a new home buyer coming from Georgia. I hope she loves it as much as I did.

Lucky, you'd better call me when you come to Sacramento!!! You always know just the right thing to say. No, I can't make it to NAR this year and I'm hoping that those that do will blog their fingers to the bone about it...I'll miss seeing everyone. Thanks for popping on in.
