Can we give seller clients a gold star?

I have been in contact for a while with potential home sellers in Macomb County.

I wish I could post a flyer of their lovely home for this article, but as their home is not
on the market yet I cannot do that. What I want to do though is give them a huge gold star. A shiny "let the world see me" star.

These potential sellers are doing everything correctly.

They have a lovely home that has been well maintained.
They are currently doing a few "touch ups" to make it more appealing to a broad range of buyers.
A pre-listing home inspection will be done to help alleviate a potential
buyers worries, but to also insure the sellers peace of mind.
The home will be priced well - not overpriced for the market or the area.
The sellers are also very open to suggestions from me, and in fact encourage it.

In a conversation with the seller yesterday I told her "You are the poster child for home sellers". I want to package these people up and market them for all the world to see.

After their home has been on the market and sold I'm going to ask the sellers for permission to write an article about the home selling process for them. I'm already convinced they would make a great example for others thinking about selling their homes.

I've had a few of those sorts of buyers myself, lately. They're the realists in this whole unusual market. Would it be wrong of us to have them speak to the unrealistic sellers we know?

Chris: I've often wanted to put my "gold star" people in the same room with the unrealistic people and let them talk. It would bring a new definition to "meeting of the minds" wouldn't it?

Kris, I think when we come in, know our stuff, don't NEED the listing, tell the truth, they respect us and listen to us.

Missy: If all sellers were like this I'd change my tune and become a listing agent :-) These people really are above and beyond..they educate themselves also and are really in tune with the market and our area. Telling the truth is key - you're right. It may not be what some sellers want to hear, but I wouldn't want to conduct business any other way.

Kris -Missy hit the nail on the head without a doubt ! I have changed so much over the past few months and that level of confidence has shown ! Incidentally, I prefer being the listing agent, have always been one and am now tackling it even more now !

You are very very lucky! I get them but not that often it seems!

Sounds like you have found the "hidden jewel." It is good to know that there are still some jewels in this market!

Kris.... I haven't read any of the comments as I am on my way out the door.... but maybe this is because they have a great realtor guiding them in the right things to do in order to market their property in order for it to sell quickly. Nice job and good luck.

Kris: Could you send those sellers down here. I feel like I'm talking to myself when I explain the need to stand out from the crowd in this market. Old habits are hard to break. Blessings!

Kris it is absolutely a joy to have clients like this....now are you getting referrals...usually they friends just as nice! I wanted to be the one to put you over the 50,000 point mark....! Nice post Kris.
