The 27th Annual holiday shopping extravaganza is Nov. 8-Nov.11. The Houston Ballet Guild's "Nurcracker Market" has become the annual tratition to kick off the holiday season.

More than 315 vendors participate from across the country in this annual e Houston Nutcracker Market vent which offers unique gifts for the entire family. You can find anything from home decor, clothing, toys, candles, sporting items, novelties and much more.

The Nutcracker Market benefits the Houston Ballet Foundation, it's Academy and scholarship programs.

Nutcracker Market

Thursday, Nov. 8: 10am - 8pm.

Friday, Nov. 9: 10am - 8pm.

Saturday, Nov 10: 10am - 6pm

Sunday, Nov 11: 10am - 6pm

Location: Reliant Park

NOTE: Special events include: Saks Fifth Avenue Fashion Show and Luncheon Nov. 8- 9am-12:30pm (tickets start at $130) Macy's Fashion Show and Brunch -Friday 9am-12-30pm (tickets start at $80)

Deborah - They will have plenty of nutcrackers there I am sure! There are also many other items as well, and some that are hard to come by. I noticed last year that the prices are very good as well at the Market.

Mary - This is mostly a shopping extravananza but there are plenty of Nutcrackers to purchase along with housewares and such. It is pretty much the start of the Holiday season in Houston.

Hi Candy,
Does the Houston Ballet have performances throughout the year? That is one of the things we miss out living in a small town. This sounds like a great holiday fair to raise funds for the Ballet. I can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving! Where did the time go?

Cynthia - The Houston Ballet has wonderful performances throughout the year! I am proud to announce that we have one of the most renowned ballets in the world.

Their "The Nutcracker" starts November 23 and runs through the 29th of December I believe. I will be writing a post about it a little later. I love the ballet and we know the stage manager and he has taken us back stage to see how it all works with the sets and curtains and all. I really found that interesting as it is so huge.

Can you help me find a vendor that was that the market this year? I bought aprons that light up and they are a big hit. No tags in the aprons, but my Visa card says Holiday Highlights. Could I get an address or phone number for them?
