Welcome back NBA... just in time for Christmas.
I admit the presents are opened, the smiles are wide, the crew is all enjoying their gifts now, the driveway has been shoveled for the last time to have it perfectly cleared (from Thursdays 1ft+ snowstorm), and sitting down to watch the NBA opening day games.
Thanks NBA, to have completely missed the season would have been a very bad thing to try to recover from. In an economy where many are hurting or just getting by, to have "stars", "role models" and "owners" all in a dispute over money is a very bad thing. When the average annual contract is over $5M/yr there are no tears shed on behalf of the fans over the poor income levels of the NBA players.
Enjoy the game, play with passion, be the role model to kids like Tebow is. Win or lose he plays with passion and gives it his all. Regardless of the outcome he still gives thanks and honor to God!
I admit I just recently became a fan of the NBA and if a strike would have ensued would never have come back. Thank goodness for college ball. These kids looking to go pro and most importantly playing with heart and passion. Most will not make it to the next level but their talent still shines and more importantly its the passion and heart they play with that comes through in volumes.
Anyway dont need to get too deep, as its Christmas and there is so much more important this day than the NBA, but anyway... Thanks NBA glad you didnt pull a major mistake and write the entire season off.
Merry Christmas to all and Peace, Blessings and a Propserous New Year 2012!
