It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With dreams and nostaligia aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
knocks on your very door
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
when you happen upon your core.

A pair of shit-kicking boots and a lobbyist that shoots
Is the wish of the NRA now and then;
We would love to talk and live the walk,
but we ain't Charlton Heston!!!

And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Americus Hotel, one in Philly as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow. Yet there rests the afterglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

And I can't argue with that last part.

But I can add my parting shot. 

A Reality we're not ... but it beats the streets with every show:

I tend to loose myself in a time forgotten for a few days at Christmas.  We turn off the news, watch Christmas movies, bake, cook, eat and well... make Merry.  Today it's back to work and back to reality, but the last few days have been perfect at my house.
