Script OhioNo, I’m not just talking about the AP NCAA Division I football standings (but yeah!) I’m talking about the biggest University in the Nation—for the 2nd year in a row.  OSU always seems to be in at least the top 5.  This is a main reason why the Columbus Housing Market will always be relatively stable — recent OSU grads settling here and making lives.  Add to that Faculty, Administration and all types of workers that keep OSU running that need places to live.  OSU, and the OSU Hospital system are big economic drivers for the entire Central Ohio Region.

Ohio State’s 52,568 undergraduate (46,690 students), graduate and professional students on its main Columbus campus topped the enrollment at the

University of Florida in Gainesville, with 51,876 students

Arizona State University at Tempe, with 51,481, and the

University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, with 50,880

The university’s main campus has grown 1.4 percent from last year’s 51,818 students, also tops in the nation. Arizona State’s Tempe campus took the top spot in 2005.

OSU’s fall enrollment numbers show about 80 percent of students at the main campus are from Ohio, with Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois and Michigan students rounding out the top five.
