Working during the “’Tween” week is always unique and interesting.

Senoia GA Christmas 2011Now that we are in the ‘tween” week between Christmas and New year’s Day, it’s time to wrap up the year.

I only have one more closing scheduled for this week, and so my 2011 business is pretty much concluded. But there is plenty that needs to be done in order to start 2012 off with a bang!

For whatever reason, I have always preferred even numbered years. Not to mention the fact that 2012 is a presidential election year and an Olympic year which will make for some pretty interesting events throughout the course of the year.

And so I am already moving new ideas from the drawing board to the implementation stage. Twenty-twelve is shaping up to be a formidable challenge.

My ‘tween week will be busy and interesting. And hopefully, it will be a harbinger of good things to come!

I like calling it a "twean week". . . I like the quiet business of the week - and the excitment for 2012!  Thanks for your post.

Yes, we are working this week too. Also have one hoping to close this week. Waiting on the IRS....

Love the positive outlook with elections, Olympics. Should be a good year for all of us!

There are so many things that have come from 2011 that I will be using and turning to in 2012! I can't wait to see what the new year brings!

I like the name 'Tween Week' as it certainly describes it.  It has always been an unusual week--not as many people around the office but the one's that are there are busy.

I, too, have one more closing for the year scheduled for Friday.  Didn't think it was going to make it until next week but the banker suprised us all today!!

Anyway, Happy New Year!!  I am looking forward to 2012 too.

It's not a Tween Week for me.  Wrote up an offer today, trying to get a contract ironed out on one of my listings,  two closings this week, and moving four other properties under deposit along.  No downtime, but not complaining.

Richard, I decided to apologetically take the 'tween week off.  But I'm pretty much ready to hit the grund running!  2012 should be interesting.

Richard - Hopefully one last closing in this 'tween, and I took one new listing today to get 2012 started right.

Richard, it's easy to take time off in S. Florida. Most people come here to relax as you know. I for one have good ideas to put in place for 0-12.

Hi Richard...Like many of the others, I'm looking forward to 2012 and hope I have as much success as 2011.  Time will tell but I will work hard to make it so.

All the best to you in the year ahead.

Happy 'Tween week to you and may you have even more success and joy in 2012! This is always an interesting week of the year. Busy getting business started for January and February, crunching tax numbers for taxes and preparing for an even better year next year!

Richard, I have never heard that term and love it! Thanks for the message. I am working on my goals... short, sweet and packed with a punch. I agree with you about 2012... I am actually excited for it to come! And, for some reason like the even years as well. Happy New Year

Richard, I never heard of "Tween" week.  I had on closing that was supposed to happen yesterday but got moved to first week of January.  A closing in the first week of the year is a great start.

Richard - Our Twean Week is full of activity. Always seem to get busy this week. A lot of people are home and yearning to get out to see houses. Thus we are showing houses and finishing up some paperwork for the year end. Love the new catch phrase as well. Happy New Year!

I wish you good luck in the new year Richard. I have not heard of it being called "tween" week, but I do believe the name fits well. You go from all that holiday preparation to making sure you are ready with things for the new year ahead. Lots to do!

Hi Richard, I like the "tween" week.  Buyers are serious.  Sellers are ready to start the new year right - pricing wise.  And most of the competition is on vacation!

Been a pretty frustrating Tween week. None of the title or loan underwriting folks are working this week. So my last deal of 2011 turns into my first deal of 2012...

My last sale of the yearRichard has moved from Dec 30 into the new year. January is looking good for hopefully 3 closings. Kind of frustrating, but I heard from all the agents today (at last) so we're still on board!
