December 2011 Blogging Challenge - Days 25 and 26 - This and That
Day 25 - Christmas Day oh Christmas Day... except for a quick check-in into ActiveRain and making a few early morning comments, I took the day off! My husband and I decided to turn off our phones and just give each other the gift of time. With temperatures hovering around 80 F, we spent a good part of the day at the beach at Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida.
I had thought it would have been fairly empty and was surprised by the many people who had the same idea! I guess you could say, we had a "white Christmas Florida-style"!
Day 26 - Some pleasant surprises today. First, a lady called today in reference to one of my local area blog posts. Although she called for more information about the local area rather than real estate in particular, this was the second call on the same post within a week. Proof enough that localism posts are getting read and encouragement to continue.
I also received a call from a new buyer prospect whom I had been emailing with over the last week. We have an appointment for Wednesday for consultation and introduction to one of our golf course communities.
Finally, I received a phone call from our very own Karen Kruschka! What an honor! We had a very nice conversation about different places we have worked and lived, blogging, and our various experiences in real estate. If you don't know Karen, please go and see some of her posts. Karen does some of the best community profiles I have ever seen and her videos are expertly done!
