Major FALL Colors today in Charlottesville

We are expecting rain tomorrow (a slight chance of snow).

I really can not imagine snow yet, but that is another story. Today I took a drive to visit the home of 2 different clients that are under construction and the colors were incredible! I was lucky to have my camera with me so I took a couple of pictures of our area in Albemarle County.

This photo is an area where I have a client building a home in Ivy, Virginia (5-10 mins from Charlottesville).

BTW, that is the famous Virginia Red clay...

These are some of those Famous Fall colors we have near the Blue Ridge!

This is an outstanding tree that I just had to stop and take a picture of....

These are great pictures Charles! One of the few things I miss about New England...but then I think of how cold it is when we get these colors..and I don't miss it as much..LOL

Charles - beautiful images. I had been accepted to UVA for law school years ago and ended up going elsewhere. Probably a colossal blunder on my part. I would probably have stayed in Charlottesville if I had given myself a chance. It is a great area.

I'm from California and we don't have the change in seasons like you do. You are so blessed to have such a wonderful season. My husband is from back east and he tells me that the best season is fall! Thanks for sharing those photos with us.

ALMA and VINCENT - I was born and raised in California (left at age 40 for Virginia). This may be why I am so fasinated with the colors too!

Awwww this makes me homesick for my old stomping grounds in Long Island NY.
