Keeping Your Children Safe When Selling Your Bothell Home
There is something that a lot of people don’t take into account when they are selling their Bothell home. This is their children’s safety. You are going to be having a lot of strangers walking through your home in the next few weeks or months and your children’s safety should always be a top concern.
Here are some tips that you should follow to keep your children safe while you have your Bothell Home on the market.
1. If somebody walks up to your home and knocks on your door for a viewing, let them know that you want to talk to their real estate agent first. You can ask for their agent’s number while they wait and you can give them a call. This will let you know whether they are really a person in the market for a new home. If you still feel uncomfortable about letting this person into your home, tell them to make an appointment with their real estate agent first and come back later.
2. Take down any pictures you have of your children. Your Bothell real estate agent will take pictures of your rooms and you don’t want any of these photos being shown on the Internet.
3. Don’t leave any schedules out that show where your children will be at certain times. Any schedules should be taken down, in fact, so that strangers don’t find out when you will be in the home and when you are going to be out.
It is a sad situation that these precautions need to be followed in this day and age, but it is a fact. It doesn’t really take much to protect your children when you are selling your home and you’ll feel so much better if you implement these suggestions. It’s always best not to leave anything to chance.
