10 Comments on Portland Aerial Tram, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Portland, OR. 12/28/11
That just has to be the Portland aerial tram which rides between Oregon Healthy & Science University and the Southern Waterfront. It travels 3300 feet horizontally, 500 feet vertically and takes about 3 minutes.
How'd I do?
Hi Cindy,
Never got a chance to stop by last week. We were on a fun excursion with driving taking up most of the day. Hope the Christmas Holiday was happy & healthy for you and your family! I'm thinking Kat has made a pretty good run at this one ;-) I'll bet the view from the top is exquisite!
Good morning Kat, WOW, you did excellent and nailed it! I've had you in my thoughts and hope you're doing OK.
Hi John, Glad to hear you were out and about having fun! I was out last night and got in later than I thought I would..so just now getting to putting in the answer...which you're right...Kat nailed! I've not been inside the Tram, but have seen pictures of people who have and it is a gorgeous view..especially on a clear day when the mountains like Mt. Hood and St Helens are really visible.
How cool is that?! I can just imagine the controversy with some of the neighbors. I wish we had something like that here. Then again, it would probably take a century to approve (lol).
Thanks Cindy for the mention, I did not get to see last weeks either. Happy New Year to you, and in comes 2012 we hope with great successes despite any predictions !
Cindy - Very cool & great idea! Happy New Year!
Hi David, ya know it's one of those things that is pretty cool..and I've never taken the ride. I'll need to remember this when I have out of town guests and I want to show them the city..now this is a pretty cool view!
Hi Mary..a well deserved mention as you were VERY spot on in the detail of the location. Funny, I've been hearing mixed predictions for the market in 2012..but this is unfortunatly normal. No matter, I just know we'll have a great year!
Hi Carla, why thank you much! You have a Happy New year as well!!
