Certain parts of the country probably have already had snow but for those of us in the Pacific Northwest we are still enjoying fall. In our area we rarely see snow early if at all. Last winter was my first winter back in Bremerton after spending 3 years in the dry warm desert of California and I wasn't prepared.

So this weekend I am heading out to get a snow shovel and some kitty litter. Nope, I don't have a cat but I want to make sure what I use a de-icer  that  isn't hazardous to any of my neighbors pets or to any of the trees and shrubs in the area.

Jo, I don't want to think about this yet! The last few years we haven't got significant snowfall until January.

Jo, I don't have to deal with the snow anymore!  I used to live in PA and I got really sick of shoveling the snow!  It is pretty, though, if you can just sit in your house and look at it.

Roberta, We don't get it very often here - but last year we were dumped on twice - I told my husband that I live in the "Anchorage" of Bremerton - I couldn't get out of my drive for a week each time - I didn't have a shovel :) Oh, and when someone asks me what I miss about Calif I say "Las Vegas" :)

In the Northeast when have to be ready. Fortunately, we haven't had any yet. But we It's coming!!

Derrick, My husband lives in Anchorage AK and they haven't had any that has "stuck" yet - he is getting too anxious to be on sleds and is hoping it is soon! Thanks for reading!
