Steamboat Springs' Ski Mountain New Year's Celebration

By
Real Estate Agent with The Group, Inc

Steamboat Springs’ New Year’s celebration includes the ski mountain torchlight parade and fireworks.  Steamboat Ski & Snowboard School instructors volunteer to carry the torches that light up the mountain as they ski down the slopes as part of the New Year’s Eve festivities. Fireworks follow and offer an amazing array of colors as they reflect off the snow covered ski mountain.

Hey Charlie! Hope you guys have gotten some snow- we were in Sun Valley all last week, and it's REAL thin over there; the mountain would have been closed were it not for that giant snowmaking operation. Happy New Year!

Love the top image Charlie. You can feel the crisp air, stillness in the night expect for pop pop of the fireworks and the shimmering lights of night skiing. Tunes while you swish swish, filling your lungs with Colorado air...can't wait to get back to ski in March. Son who works at A Basin still praying for snow, doing the dance to end the drought. He said working the lifts yesterday it was 52 degrees... that is hard on snow. You live in a beautiful are!

R & D - We have snow but need more that's for sure. Sun Valley always seems to have tough years. But I love it there still. Happy new years.

Andrew- Sunny and warm yesterday. Felt like spring. Yikes.

Dorie - thanks for the comment. All the best in Austin - a place I'd love to visit. I hear many great things about the city.
