Not posting because I'm too busy getting rid of spam comments (sigh)

Yeah... the idiots are back littering the Rain with stupid comments, bad links and nonsense. So much so that when people click my "Share This" links some Norton users are being told ActiveRain is a dangerous site with warning pop ups.

Beware code embedded in your comments sections with white lettering people. Just sayin' you may not notice because the letters are white...

Beware nonsensical letter groupings... get rid of them.

I'm in delete hell and getting mad cranky. Seriously so...

John, my eyes crossed when I started clicking the comment links in my e-mail notifications (sigh). Have a marvelous New Year and I've lots of spoofs pending for my blog. We've been busy exploring all sorts of interesting stuff (and I've got eye candy - silly grin). ;-)

Terry, it's a battle we all have to ban together and fight. We work way too hard to maintain our websites to have people mess with our Google Juice. It gets my digital knickers tied in a virtual knot. This is a great platform. I don't want Norton thinking my blog is dangerous. I do not want people not to click my "Share This" links. That whomps.

Spam has been with us almost from the beginning of the internet and it ain't going away anytime soon. As soon as a killer for it is developed the spammers just develop a different tactic. Unfortunately we just have to keep hitting the delete button.

I cut off anonymous comments some time ago and that helps some, but a lot of them still slip through!

C, I feel for you! Like Richard and Marc, I don't allow anonymous comments on my blog for that very reason. Still, some spammers manage to slip through. Wishing you health, happiness and no Spam for 2012.

I'm back. I got a nasty computer virus that took an inordinate amount of time to figure out. I'm about to try public commenting again as soon as I finish my wee people updates. Talk about suffering from social media withdrawal... I've been a gym rat taking out my frustrations on the weights (sigh). Be back in a few...
