It is to? Boost him over Tony Marriot in points? Help me with that? Jay can get points for 10 comments, in a day... I guess depending on the time frame the server is on he could get points for 20 comments? Time on Active Rain is CST?
Jay will get a boost on the right side of the dashboard... surely this entry is on the left side of the dashboard. He'll certainly get to know people on Active Rain... after this but will it give him points on Active Rain to ward off Arizona's number 2 Active Rainer?
Jay's other blog has an entry about it...
Leanne usually helps me understand how this point stuff, ranking etc. works on Active Rain...but she's busy for the next couple of days so I hate to bother her.
Can anyone explain it to me.
Is the payoff the links at the bottom of the comments? To the historic event and to Jay's other blog and his website?

Maureen! Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across this blog at 10 hours, 52 minutes into this.
I have NO IDEA what compelled me to do it. It seemed like "fun". What was I thinking? IT'S PAINFUL! Physically and mentally painful.
But I've read some FANTASTIC blogs. I've "met" bloggers that I've missed while I was away for awhile.
Points? 250 is the limit for the day. I'm fast approaching what will equate to getting one point per comment. Believe me, it would have been a LOT easier just to write a blog entry and make two comments if all I wanted was 250 points.
Is my original announcement post on the left side of the dashboard? Nope. No gold star, no extra points. (I must admit, I thought it would be tagged with a star and featured, but it's no big deal. I got a BIG SHINY gold star in the comments. It's getting a lot of comments, which in theory helps on the RIGHT side of the dashboard. But I don't have the minimum number of blogs in the last 20 days to make that list anyway.
The links at the bottom could possibly be picked up by search engines. Only time will tell.
Why am I doing it? I'm nuts, a kook, a bit whacky. An d I had some free time. Pretty warped way to spend it, but what the heck?
