NV, Las Vegas: Bits and Pieces

It's a good time to visit Las Vegas, lots going on....with all the media hoopla over the OJ event people can't get close to the courthouse...it's like a 3-ring circus though more than a 'preliminary hearing'....there's a chicken with a huge sign that says "He is guilty", there's the guy dressed only in a barrel (waist down only) dancing around the streets, and then there's the usual 'Jesus Saves' signs....as well as a personalized one saying "God Can Save OJ" too.  (editor's note: YES, He can!)

If you tire of OJ circus then you can go to AVIATION NATION at Nellis Air Force Base this Saturday and Sunday (November 10 & 11)...it's a free show too but a lot more interesting!

The implosion of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13 at 2:30 AM. The property was sold earlier this year to make room for a $5 billion development modeled after New York City's Plaza Hotel.  Scheduled opening for the new project is 2011.  There will be 3,500 hotel rooms and 300 condos. If you can't get down to see the implosion it will be telecast on the local TV stations.

The National Association of REALTORS® will be holding their annual convention November 13-16.  The REALTORS® Conference & Expo runs from Tuesday through Friday, and all REALTORS® Conference & Expo activities will take place under one roof at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Don't miss this Las Vegas area holiday tradition The Gift of Lights - Friday, November 9 through Tuesday, January 1, 2008.
