Boost Positive Attitudes - Its Much Better than the Alternative
Here is a great post from Christopher and very well worth reading, I don't allow anyone on my team to be negative and I ask them if they start feeling negative to take the day off, I have found it can ruin the day for all of us. I also ask if they have a challenge they are to come to me with at least three solutions and we can talk about solutions and make a decision.

The success of any team depends on the positive attitudes of its members and its leader. Demonstrate - and reinforce - these important personal guidelines:
- Ego control. Remember, you're committed to the goals of the team, not your own ambitions. Can you and the rest of your team put the group's priorities first? Avoid asking anyone to take on a task that you would not be willing to perform yourself.
- Admitting mistakes. Be willing to honestly concede errors so the team can move on. Try not to publicly point out other people's errors. Instead, address the person privately and ask what you both can learn from the mistake.
- Constructive disagreement. Hiding your expertise just to avoid conflict won't help the team achieve its goals. Everyone has to be willing to stand up for his or her ideas and to listen respectfully to other points of view.
