A truck to match my shoes!! How lucky can a girl be? Searcy AR collectibles.

I saw the truck and had to turn around and go back for a picture.

It had a for sale sign on it so surely the owner wouldn't mind if I snapped a picture.

My ulterior motive?

It would match my shoes!!

Green truck Searcy AR

You don't believe it?

Have a look.

Green shoes

Wouldn't they go well together? I may need some orange socks to make them match a little better.

Now, just a little history about the shoes.  My mother-in-law never threw anything away.  Upon her death, I decided I had to keep these shoes even though they don't fit.  They came from Kempners of Little Rock, a long-gone store.  The brand is Valley Shoes.  Most interesting, however, is the size. They are 8 1/2 aaaa and the size information is hand-written in the heal of the shoe.  Hand written!  With a pen!  They must have made only a few of this size.

I wish I'd kept the outfit that she definitely would have had to go with the shoes!

Cute post! I love shoes but not sure I could wear those, but like why you kept them!

Happy New Year and Here's to a great 2012!

Jamie, wild colors, aren't they?

Rob Kelley, thanks.

Rob Shepherd, you can find lots of girls with red and white shoes but only I have these green and yellow ones.  Too bad I can't wear them.

John, it's a high-quality blog.  : )

That's quite the colorful truck. And I, too, have a couple of pairs of Winnie's shoes. One pair is silver (easier to find a truck to match) and another is navy blue. She was a shoe fanatic, that's for sure!

Hey Ms. Barbara:   LOVE THE SHOES!  I saw this and have shown it some of the boys.  I guess you know that I'm partial to those colors it would match the latest project PERFECT (Book Cover)...I even have a jacket and scarf it would match.

Luke isn't here right now but his favorite color growing up was orange.  He was just a tiny fellow and I would be buying yarn.  He would say, "Get some orange yarn mom...you know you can't get too much orange!"

What a fun post...it must have been inspired...LOVE IT!
