You never know when your post on Active Rain will result in a commission...but it NEVER WILL if you don't blog! It's as easy as that. I was reading a "Success Story" post by Ava Anderson who had stopped blogging on Active Rain when out of the blue she was contacted by a purchaser because of her Active Rain blog. When that contact turned into a commission check Ava became a believer.
There are probably many others that wavered in their confidence that blogging was go
ing to benefit their business. However, if they stick with it long enough, and write the type of material that interests consumers, success will happen. That's right, it is not enough to simply post. You need to write posts that will appeal to buyers or sellers. You have to be able to convey to them that you know your business, you have the experience and knowledge to get the job done for them. Mix it up with some well taken photos of your market area.
Localism posts are goldmines. Be sure to discover as many small business in out of the way places that your readers will want to discover also. Find out about local events and pass on that information as well. This is what will help your readership grow and this is also what will give you the Google juice to push you up to the top of page one and what's where you want to be because that will certainly lead to commissions.
Doing this has an added benefit. You learn more about your market, you learn more about community, and you'll enjoy job even more. You will find that you can use the title, local expert and deserve it.
There is much more I can write about the benefits of blogging on Active Rain but if commissions are what you are looking for (and we all enjoy receiving them) then know that it can happen. You do your part and Active Rain will do its. How's that for a great partnership?
