How 'Bout some Cuteness for New Year's Eve...

Yeah... I know. My last post was quite the bummer... talking about what New Year's Eve meant to me, and the baggage I carry around concerning it.

Some days I think I should trundle over to Southwest Airlines and try and hire a baggage handler so I don't hurt myself with all that blasted baggage.

But... occasionally things happen that lighten the baggage load.

In fact... I just found something that does just that.

It is so cute, so sweet, and such a treat... that I wanted to share it with you.

I stumbled upon this just a few minutes ago. It's a duet... with Zooey Deschanel (who I think is just adorable) and some young dude named Joe Gordon-Levitt (I have no clue who he is.)

I also had no clue that Zooey could sing... but she surprised me. She is also playing the ukulele... which, when I first saw it, I thought was going to be really dorky. Au contraire. Miss Deschanel does a great job with it.

And... these two can sing. Really great harmonies, too. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Ahhhh... I feel better, now.

Ellie: New memories would be great. Even sitting in a rocking chair with a glass of white zin, just knowing that I was sitting in the great state of Maryland instead of in The People's Republic of Texas... LOL. How much I long for a nice yummy plate of crab cakes. Oh, be still my growling tummy.

Karen: Sure I have heard of the TV show Third Rock from the Sun. I watched it a few times, and just didn't think it was all that funny. So... I only remember a very few of the characters in it, and not Joseph.

I have, I guess what you might call "different" taste in TV shows. I often like stuff nobody else does, and often do NOT like or watch stuff that many people watch.

I loved Zooey, and AnnaSophia Robb and Josh Hutcherson in the movie "The Bridge to Terabithia." I feared, with a title like that, it would be dorky, but it was really cute. Sad at the end, but really, really cute... with good character development and interplay.

I have never liked... the Survivors shows, the "Wives of" shows, never saw or wanted to see the Kardashians, or really any of the "reality" shows. Even going back to comedy shows like Seinfeld. Honestly, I must have tried six times to watch that show all the way through to talk myself into liking it, but simply did not think it was funny. I liked Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and also thought the Soup Nazi character was cute/funny, but that's about it.

Right now... I love "The Good Wife." I make sure I watch it, DVR it, or watch it on the CBS website. I used to love watching "House"... but since the two intern docs... Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Morrison left, and now that Lisa Edelstein's "Dr Cuddy" left... it has lost all of its character interplay... so, for me, why bother ?
