Can you really surprise someone anymore in Princeton?

Could there be surprises in Princeton real estate? That question came to mind as I am trying to surprise my husband for his birthday tomorrow. The only real estate I am thinking of right now is Ritz Carlton in New York. That’s where I booked a room as a gift for his birthday. My husband works so hard all year – he deserves the special treat for his special day.

I gave him the birthday card, where I added, “Please remember this number” and I wrote down the reservation number. This way he knows Real estate journey something is up, but doesn’t know what and when. I can see he is excited with anticipation. He was casually asking me what are our plans for the weekend. With a deadpan face, I said: “What ever you want, honey”.

My plan is to send him an e-mail on his Blackberry, asking him to pack certain things and go to the car, enter the numbers I gave him and just follow the directions. I programmed the GPS for the Ritz Carlton hotel.

In real estate our clients don’t always know what’s going to happen tomorrow. Would the next showing bring a buyer who loves the house and wants to make an offer? Would this weekend bring their house search to an end with the find of their new home?

Real estate buyers and sellers can’t program their house buying and selling into a GPS and hope it will get them to the end destination. As an agent and their partner in this journey, I know the “secret code” that will. Enjoy the suspense and the surprise of the final discovery.

Katerina -he was thrilled. He did not know till the end where we were going. I loved doing it for him as much as actually being there. He works so hard. This was to show my appreciation for all he does for the family.
