Christina, as we get older each year becomes more precious as we assess our life over the years. I have learned to enjoy the now moments. Love the quilt - that is amazing! Happy New Year!
Christine, I love anything you say as long as there are photos of quilts. lol Seriously, the analogy of making a quilt and planning goals in life is perfect. Happy New Year!

Hi Jo - Happy New Year to you too!
Well presented...a good reminder that we were not put here to fail...quite the contrary...thank you Christine..
Our career is much like quilting if you really think about it. Piece by piece you sew it together in the hopes of a good outcome. The more you sew and the better the quality the faster you have a shelter from the cold. I used to quilt when I had time and I sure miss it! Ditto for gardening! Happy New Year! Beautiful quilt by the way!
Christine, it is all about putting it all together and being good at something. Happy New Year.
Christine, Congrats on the Feature! Our plans do have to be fluid, adapting to the changes as life decides it doesn't want to follow our script.
I'm looking forward to honing in on my skills this year too. One of them is to say No and to listen more to my intuition.
Excellent posting Christine, definitely worth a suggest.

We do have to be careful with out with the old. . . the wisdom and teachings of those that have experienced life before us is so important to helping us understand our lives. I live the analogy to a quilt. Thanks!
Well said - piecing it all together takes planning and hard work. But this will lead to success (or a beautiful quilt)!
Hi Christine, Thanks to Cal Yoder's reblog I read your wonderful post. Beautiful quilt, wonderful thoughts on becoming grounded and happy in life.
Have a wonderful 2012!
Gloria
Great article! I'm always looking at ways to improve what I do and look at new ways of doing things. That's one of the things I like best about AR is that I get a steady stream of ideas on how to do things better.
Fantastic way to kick off the new year - good - simple - direct advice. We can all look to ourselves and there is nothing more important to ourselves; our peers; and, of course our clients than to go forth and "master your craft".
Best in 2012
Great post Christine. We are not failures we are here to succeed and make something out of ourselves.
Christine - I like the idea of piecing together the fabric of our lives while mastering our craft.
Happy New Year.
Hi Christine. Great post and beautiful quilt. And, I love that your best friend is your sister. Very sweet. Happy New Year!
For as long as we chose to be in this business, this should be our #1 goal (to master our craft). If we master it, all other things will fall into place.
