Just for fun, I would like to show you my husband's pride and joy - a 1962 Ford Fairlane 500. It looked pretty awful when he first got it, and he has restored most of it.
He let me choose the color - as long as it was within the Ford colors from that year. This is called Rangoon Red. I feared I had made a mistake, because it almost looked orange when it was first put on! But after it dried, it turned this beautiful red color. He decided the make the top white, and I concur that it looks fabulous!
Most of the parts replacement was done by my husband, and being a sheet metal handler, he replaced huge areas that had rusted out himself. You can't tell by looking that the areas he replaced weren't done by a professional. Our friend did some of the body work and the painting.
It's a fun ride! Perfect for a Sunday cruise.
