Crossing Borders Back & Forth...

Our friends came to visit us from New York. They asked us where we met last New Year. I knew that we were home, and told them we met a New Year with my wife.

Then my wife said we had her friend with us, then it turned out our daughter's family was with us as well... And don't even ask me about any previous year...

So, this year we made it the most memorable New Year celebration. We went to Disney World. Tried to make it early, as the parks are closed when they reached it capacity. We made it to EPCOT somewhere after 10 AM.

Actually, we all remember another New Year – 1996 -  in Disney. It was our second visit to Florida from New York. We were in MGM Studios, and we still remember it very well, and I can't say the same thing about so many other New Years.

I like EPCOT. I am not so much for the attractions, and in EPCOT you can just walk with the crowd of people, and the beauty of this walk is that you are going from one country to another. From friendly Canada to misty Albion, from festive Italy to beautiful Germany, and then to Japan, Mexico, China...

But hey, I did not have a visa. I was an «illegal», crossing borders at will... And for the first timeI was loving it...

And what a light show was there! I am sure it was the best in the world...

Gotta be a great year ahead...

Jon - My husband and I spent New Year's Eve ringing in the new year at Epcot.  Although very crowded we enjoyed the fireworks and the celebrations in each country without a visa :)

Wishing you a very happy, prosperous and healthy new year 2012, oh I almost forgot a happy belated birthday :)

Jon, that was a great way to greet the New Year! We had our usual Russian dishes, it was great. I think yours was far better than mine though, LOL.

And if Facebook was right, you and my grandson share the same birthday!? Was that yesterday? Happy Birthday!

Hi John, we celebrated the new year in Las Vegas. It is  wild  there.. At midnight the casinos

empty out (win or lose) and the hotels let off fire-works. The party we attended was fabulous.

Disney is also a great place to be.

Hi John, I spent a New Year at DW, Epcot and was treated to one of best light and sound shows that has never been beat. The music was created for the occasion Incoming year 2000  and I was given a copy  of the music that was then used for my installation as President of our REALTOR® Association. I will never forget how wonderful it was.
