**Last Call For Alcohol! Keep Moving Forward (UPDATED: CONTEST ENTRIES)**

I figured you lushes would open this one up for the title! (I don't drink so that's my Vanilla Milkshake to the left) Make a toast and publish that post CONTEST TIME!!!! **Holiday Balance of Time OR Attitudes**    in support of Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul group.

The deadline is Wednesday....four more days!

I watched a movie this afternoon called "Meet the Robinsons" and it was about a mother who had to give up her son when he was a baby. He was a genius and wanted to invent something where he could go back in time to find the family he never knew.  The fate of the future rested in his hands ....but the Robinson family..helped him to learn that:

"He had to keep moving forward and never stop believing in himself".

What a concept!  Our stories of faith and hope with a positive spirit of what we will do during the holidays to keep priorities and balance may just be the "Helping Hand" that another person needs. (if the contest guidelines were confusing....use this simple sentence for your guideline....that ought to make it easier :)

Helping someone who may not be all chipper around the holidays may make all the difference in their lives right now.  And that's what Active Rain is all about. Active Rain gave this platform to us to use and we give back to the community in the form of support. I know of two people that this has benefit so far. Imagine the reward you will get back with giving a little support in the form of a positive message for staying afloat in spirit, mind and soul for the holiday season.

If anything, I wanted to give the following entries a little link love :) and if you folks haven't had a chance to read them you may want to spend a few minutes to read these wonderful stories and support them with a comment!

I know you put a lot of work into it and that everyone that enters will learn more of themselves and have the foresight to place balance in their life for the holidays. You are so giving and I sure do appreciate all that you do to make Active Rain a wonderful place! Katerina

Hi Sally,
Yikes, Wednesday?  I am still working on mine, am not totally satisfied with it yet.  Do you ever feel like there is something else you need to say but not sure what it is?  That's where I am.

11/11/2007 06:19 AM by Cynthia Tilghman, Realtor® Onslow County NC Home Specialist (Kingsbridge Realty, Inc)

Sally, thanks for issuing the reminder (and making the job of your judges that much more difficult!)  Seriously, the five entries so far have been top-notch and I'm looking forward to reading more posts on this timely topic.  By the way, where are all the Active Rain guys?  All the entries so far are from the beautiful women of AR.  We need some men to start representing!

11/11/2007 06:31 AM by Brian Block -- Northern Virginia & D.C. Real Estate (RE/MAX Allegiance)

Sally, I love your posts! This is a great reminder and the links to the entries is inspiring! I am heading off to NAR today..hope I can find a quiet time to work on this! I LOVE the holidays! What a great idea for a contest

11/11/2007 06:47 AM by Joeann Fossland, Master Certified Coach (Advantage Solutions Group)

Sally:  I am a shake kind of gal too!  This is an important post and I can't even express the words I feel about this post.  How absolutely wonderful of you to help us remember to put the focus on others and especially at this time of the year.  I've always been so fortunate throughout my life to have close family but I've reached an age where many of my family members are gone and it is especially sad and lonesome during the holiday times.  I miss them all the time but I am so grateful to have such wonderful memories.  How precious our time is and of those of us who are left to carry on, we do.  Thank you truly for this touching post.

11/11/2007 07:27 AM by Donna Yates, Georgia Realtor, North Georgia Blue Ridge Real Estate (Mountain Investments of North Georgia)

Sally, when I enter a contest, I usually jump right in and do it quickly but I was out of town for about 5 days and didn't. Then when I got back, there are so many excellent entries that I thought more people have a handle on this than I do. I'll rethink, but the ones you highlighted are really, really good.

11/11/2007 08:25 AM by Missy Caulk Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams Ann Arbor, Michigan)

Sally--Looks like some pretty stiff competition in the catagory already...I wish I had the time to participate this week, but no balance in my life right now...LOL!

11/11/2007 09:07 AM by Teri Eckholm, Realtor® Anoka County MN (Keller Williams Premier Realty)

Indeed, the Holidays are rushing up faster than imaginable! It will be next year before you know it and there is so much to do!!!

OMG - I need to read me some of those because I'm very far from my sanity and not even ready to address the holidays!!  I love your positive attitude contests Sally.

11/11/2007 10:30 AM by Rick & Ines - Miami Shores Real Estate (Majestic Properties)

WooHoo Sally, the holidays aren't balanced for me. My wife has a big family and I have none. Way ouit of balance. Anyway I may attempt something for your contest. But even if I don't "Mahalo" hafa haole.

Sally- I read all the comments, and I want to say this.....

I had what I thought would be my Post for this contest but totally changed it at the last minute....why?  Because of the guidelines.....then I remembered Colleen, or maybe Laurie saying that Guidelines are just that...and everyone interprets them differently.

So, I decided to just use the basic words of the contest......and the feelings of Balance and Positive Attitude.  then the words just came.......and I loved reading everyones entries.....each one gave me something, and I think that was your intention :) :) Now I am waiting for the ones here that said they would enter, as I love reading their Posts.......

we never know who we might help with what we write, even if it is just ourselves :)

11/11/2007 11:26 AM by Kathy McGraw ~ Calif Broker (CELLing Realty)

Julie: I am especially waiting for all you Positive Group supporters to see what you come up with....I will stay tuned and look forward to reading (I'm so glad I'm not a judge hehe)

Katerina: Thanks soft spoken woman :)  and I thank you for the nice comment. This is the only group I started and will ever have. It surely is important to have a positive place to go to .....and get out of funk.

Cynthia:  Don't tweak it to death now :)  we'll see you shortly!  If you need help... look within!

Brian: There was no way I was going to let you guys off the hook... More often than not people need a reminder .....and procrastinate :)

Joeann: Oh...yours should be grand!  If you're not busy partying at night then you should get your quiet time! :)

Donna: Hope to see your input with a post as well...you got it going on in the comment thread....continue in a post!

Missy: No excuses...you are a very talented writer and voted one of the top women bloggers...nope..no excuse!  :)

Teri:  Oh, no..you got it going on....with family and all.....

Barbara Jo/Bill:  And....you surely will have some balance to get everything accomplished...right?

Neal:  Yeah...right...get on with it!

Bill: Well, all I can say is that if there is no balance then business may be a little wacked out too?

Kathy: Thanks for your support!  More entries are coming in....and like we believe...quality ones at that. Thanks Kathy. And thanks for the phone call of appreciation...it is a great positive group.
