Carole-Thank you. My dad and husband are veterans, so I really admire what they all do. Those care packages are such a big deal to them.

Thank you for acknowledging those that have sacrificed for all of us. My Dad and four brothers have served, they and all who have served have given much more of themselves than most will ever know.

Sherry, Very Nice post and wonderful links..I am in a business club that raises money for projects, this reminds me to put care packages in our budget. We are selling raffle tickets to raise money for projects like this, we have cruise packages that I can let you know about. Its a cheap (inexpensive ??) way to sell something to raise money. Questions??

Mike-That sounds like a great idea, and also a wonderful club that raises money for these types of projects. Maybe you could blog about that and get some takers. I might just have to check into it more after the holidays. Thanks for the info!

Sherry, it's the least that we can do for all that they have done for us; to honor them. I consider myself very blessed to have these great individuals standing by my side.

I think a lot of people have forgotten why our country has the freedom we do and critize our military. I think these people should live in a country that doesn't have the freedom for the same 4 years that our brave men and woman who sign up for military service do to keep our country free. I know when they come back to America they will never protest the military again!
