Please Vote on a Background for my website

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Criado Realty 0548772

I've been writing about my website overhaul so I'm asking for your creative input.  My existing background is indigo but it is just a tad too purple.  With a dark natural background I can convey my eco friendly message, add some sophistication , and make the page content pop. Please look at some of these samples and tell me which one you like and why.  Thanks so much!

Sample of how the new background might look... blog customization is a good idea.

ActiveRain/Cathy Bureau Blog Layout

Left to right, top to bottom

A.  Light Bamboo Flo

B.  Recycled Glass 1

c.  Dark Bamboo Blind

D.  Bamboo Basket 1 (middle)

E.  Dark (Bamboo) Floor

F.  Recycked Glass 2

G.  Dark Bamboo

H.  Bamboo Basket 2 (bottom right)

I found this cork flooring background that I put on my blog this morning. Do you like it more or less than light bamboo for my light bamboo voters?

Cathy, I really do like the blind look you currently have here.      I am not a big color person, so the purple does seem overwhelming!

If I had to pick, I would say Light Bamboo Floor.   The bamboo basket is gorgeous, but not sure if it will be too busy for the header.  Good Luck in finding the one you like the best.

I love the recycled glass.  Dark wood always reminds me of the old paneling from the '60s.  If you do go with the wood, use a lighter one.  Your insert is great and I agree that the purple background is a little much.

Hi Cathy, just saw your question on FB. I like the recycled glass .. if you could find one that has a bit more green in it to tie it into your existing color scheme, I think it would go very well. I like the bamboo, too, but somehow the colors don't flow as nicely.

Hi Cathy,

Let me be a party ......, personally I would look for a background that also connects to your community and as i do not know your area not sure what to suggest

but if you have wind turbine's or other forms of green energy or distinct local conservation project, that would my suggestion.

Cathy, I like the recycled glass 1, 2.  I am not sure how either one of them would look but I like them both.  If you would prefer something solid, I would go with the light bamboo floor.

I vote for the current background I'm just not sure if it is blue or purple.

Michele - thanks! I will.

Al - that's one for perwinkle, thanks!

Jill - I like the dark due to the contrast but some say it's kind of 70s.

Lisa - there is tons more recycled glass I could choose from. If my logo wasn't green I'd go for green glass.

Peter & Linda - I took your advice as far as the photos go. But I used it in my header. Thoughts?

Andrea - thanks for popping over! I'm seeing a few recycled glass likes.

Chris & Valerie - It may be the light bamboo. I'm liking it.

Hello Cathy,

Sorry I'm late but I'm here. LOL

I really like the "light bamboo flooring" the dark colors are not too good for a web site in my opinion.

I like the Light bamboo flooring.

Have a great day,

Best, Clint McKie
