I know... we’re only 3 days into the New Year and I’m already tempting everyone with Chocolate and Cherries! But it really is National Chocolate Covered Cherries Day!
So you won’t feel so guilty look at it this way....you’re combining a fruit...high in antioxidants, melatonin, good for arthritis, heart and brain health... with dark chocolate (my preference) which has proven health benefits for your heart and head.
I remember the boxes of Chocolate Covered Cherries when I was a kid. They always looked so interesting until you bit into one, which by the way you should never do unless you want a sweet syrupy goo dripping all over your chin and the rest of you.
There are recipes using fresh cherries or you can use the maraschino cherries you get in a jar.
