Motivational Power Quote

The Little Secret of Excellences

“If you are going to achieve excellence in the big things,

you develop the habit in the small matters.

Excellence is not exceptions it is a prevailing attitude.”

Colin Powell, Secretary of State

As I see it . . . . . . .

The Little Secret of excellences

The little secret of excellences is not mystical it’s in plain sight for those who seek it out.

Excellence is the thin slice of difference between being good and being great. In business excellences will make the difference between a business succeeding or failing.

Excellence is in the prevailing attitude of the person that’s providing the goods or services that takes them to the top.

It’s an attitude of doing more than what expected, to exceed expectations and to do it with excellence.

The attitude of excellences begins with the psychology of doing the things that you do with excellences.

When you continually do the small things in life with excellences you create and develop the habit of excellence. That habit becomes ingrained in your thinking and becomes part of your personal and business habits.

The habit of excellences continues to grow and the small things that you have done with excellences will become the big things and make a big difference in your success.

The secret of excellence is in your prevailing attitude and that attitude is reflected in your actions and services to other.

I had the privilege of attending a conference in which Colin Powell was the keynote speaker.  (one of the best I have seen)

He talked about the end of the cold war when he met privately with Mikhail Gorbachev who told him "But General, we are no longer your enemy, you have to find a new enemy"  He realized he didn't have an exit strategy.  His entire military career was based on ebbing the Red Tide, which, at the time, appeared to have gone out forever.
