Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting me again. Here is the next installment of my "F.S.B.O. Tips" You can check out
previous tips below:
Part 1. Evaluate You Home
Part 2. Make Repairs
Part 3. Outside The Budget
Inside These Walls: The Next Seduction
Just like the exterior of your home, the interior of your home is
equally as important , and you should prepare to spend a good
chunk of time fixing up the inside.
1. The easiest way to make your home more appealing is to
thoroughly clean it—yes, even the windows—and to eliminate
the clutter especially “personal” clutter". It is difficult for people
to picture themselves in a house that is heavily decorated with
your teddy bear and Lenox collections along with numerous
photos of all your family and friends. Such décor sends the
message, "This Is My House.” The buyers are there not to buy
your stuff but your home. The pictures below illustrates a room
that is cluttered with to many personal belongings.

2. When you are trying to sell your home just think to yourself
"Less is Best". While you can leave generic décor, such as live
healty looking and nice artificial plants or commercial pictures,
try to eliminate as many personal touches as possible. It’s hard,
but it can definitely make the house more appealing to others
who prefer to imagine their own personal décor as they walk
through your home. Painting is one home improvement project
where you can recoup your money. It makes the home look clean
and fresh . Painting the rooms in a neutral color may be boring
but it provides for an easier sale. Neutral colors reflect light best
and makes rooms seem larger.

3. Please don’t skip this step: Go to at least two open houses
and ask yourself what you would have done differently if you
were showing the house as it was shown, would you buy this
house? Why or why not? Watch a few decorating shows on TV.
what did they do that made the difference? Do Any of the latest
colors, fixtures and accessories interest you? Maybe you could
incorporate some of those ideas into your decorating scheme.
Well, thats it for today, stay tuned for more F.S.B.O. Tips coming soon!
