Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge I - First Competition of Wellington Winter Equestrian Season
The Wellington Classic Dressage is having their first competition for the 2012 Challenge Series this weekend at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center at 7500 Forest Hill Blvd.
The competition is being held this Saturday and Sunday, January 7th and 8th from 8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
The best part about this dressage event is that it is FREE for spectators. If you have not ever seen dressage you need to go and get a glimpse of this high class equestrian style event. The discipline of rider and horse is a true art combined with sport.
What is dressage? It is like horse dancing. You may have seen this on TV but in person it is quite the event. I love being a part of the dressage events. We get to witness some amazing talent from around the world as rider and horse show off their athletic ability that is combined with grace and class.
Don't worry about lunch either. Just bring some cash with you to taste the many offering from about 8 to 10 specialty food trucks. These trucks are not like the ones on the side of the roads. We are talking some gourmet offerings that will have you back again for seconds.
Hope to see you there!
