The number of residential building permits issued in October was up just a little from August and September, but is still very low. Historically, the number of new homes started in the third quarter just completed was the lowest number started in a single quarter since 2000.
The first graph shows activity from the past twelve months, representing the short-term trend.
The second graph is data over a longer period of time, namely quarterly data over the past three years.
As of this morning, there are 226 new construction homes listed in the Dothan MLS, but that is certainly not all of the new construction homes for sale in Dothan.
