This is so true ..My accountant was just telling me how many folks sold their homes as a short sale and were not aware that they had to pay taxes on the deficiency that they owed . So they sold their home for $300,000 but owed $375,000 they had to pay taxes on $75000 . No one had explained this to them at the bank or their Real estate agent .
