BC Assessment's annual report is stating that real estate values have increased 6% overall in the Province of BC, with Stewart BC leading the way with a 20.8% increase.

Metro Vancouver saw “significant” increases with the top 3 areas being: Richmond - 16.5% increase, Vancouver - 16.4% increase and West Vancouver with a 15.9% increase.

Closer to home, Whistler has not fared as well, posting an average loss of 6.2% with some property values decreasing as much as 15%.
