Mortgage and Lending with Larry Bettag - Cherry Creek Mortgage

So, my wife and I, and all 5 of our kids go to see a family who's 3 year old daughter is dying of luekemia.  The Best Hot Dog Joint In The NationShe has days to live, and we go down and do a token good deed for the day.  Sure, we make a bit of difference in their lives for an hour, or perhaps a day or so, but they changed our lives and made a huge impact on our family.

On the way home we just had to hit Superdawg, voted the best hot dog joint in all of United States year in and year out.

It's no wonder that I'm on a diet for the first of 2012.  Too many Superdawgs!

Mmmmmmm Hot Dog.  Yes, it's a good but fat life.  Thanks for making me hungry.

Larry,  It's sad for me to read this.  The family deserved to be treated to the best hot dog joint place in all of the US.  My heart feels for the family.

Larry, that is so sad for their family. :(  I cannot imagine their grief right now, but it is good your family went by to "love on them".

Larry, I read your previous post about the little girl and her family. I wondered if you have an update on her condition.  I know in December you said that it was unlikely for her to even live until Christmas and wondered if anything had changed.  I do know that I have been praying for her and her family.

Its these kind of reminders that I need to focus more on. What really matters and what we think matters are most times not in line... this makes all of my "work" issues really small and meaningless.

Peace and prayers to the family

Gary....she made it through Christmas, much to the surprise of everyone, but her condition is now day to day.  How sad and how it changes your perspective.

Pam....you are awesome!!!!

Luekemia is such a devastating disease.  Especially to children and their families.  I worked with a couple, who waited years to have a child, and then lost the child at age 4 to the disease.  That was many years ago, and I thought by this date in time medicine would have Luekemia conquered.  Alas, it hasn't been the case!  I'm glad you had a good day eating hotdogs!

Larry, I can't imagine what that would be like to loose a little child to Luekemia like that.  I was nice of your family to go visit her but no wonder they needed a little cheering up at Superdawg.
